The Eye powered by Infinity - finalist at the Motor Trader Awards 2013

Infinity Tracking are very proud to announce that we have again had our innovations recognised, this time in the motor industry. Our client motors.co.uk have been short listed for an award at The Motor Trader Awards 2013. The nomination is for The Eye a version of Infinity Tracking that we created specifically for motors.co.uk.

The category entered is Innovation of the Year Award. This category acknowledges the most innovative product or service in the car retailing sector.

Dermot Kelleher, Head of Research & Marketing at motors.co.uk  explains how Infinity developed The Eye to become an integral part of their business.

"Our mission at motors.co.uk from a trade perspective is to help our advertisers (used car dealers) sell more vehicles, more quickly. We are also committed to helping them easily understand their return on investment, with call tracking and response reporting critical to us in terms of being able to demonstrate that we are an effective advertising medium for them.

It was with this imperative in mind that we engaged with Infinity, working with them to produce a world class response reporting tool – The Eye – to help them sell more cars in 3 clear ways.

Firstly, through a combination of simple navigation and beautiful design we were able to remove the pain for dealers in terms of their ability to find and interpret all of the critical information they needed to make ROI calculations and ensure their marketing budgets is being well spent.

Secondly, we were able to exceed their expectations in terms of providing them with a tool that not only counted the volume of consumer enquiries that had been generated but actually let them listen to those user enquiries for up to 90 days. Amongst other benefits, this ability to review calls enabled dealers to ensure that all in-bound enquiries were well-handled at their end and identify any subsequent training requirements.

Finally, through clever use of aggregated data and simple “Top 10s” we were able to help dealers understand retail trends and local demand in their area, highlighting for them both their top performing vehicles in terms of enquiries generated but also where demand outstrips supply, thereby informing their wider stocking policy going forward.

The Eye has become integral to our business and that of our dealers in a very short space of time - and I cannot praise the Infinity team highly enough in terms of the professional approach, comprehensive support and expertise that helped us shape and deliver this market-leading product.”

The winners will be announced at the Motor Trader Awards gala dinner in London’s West End on Wednesday 10 July - here's hoping it's a great night for all!
